ROCCANOVA has rewired one of Armand Van Helden’s hits from last year. Enjoy!

This is one of those tracks that you can really get lost in. Just put on your headphones and let go. Some electronic goodness from Simian Mobile Disco. Enjoy!
Here is a video of them doing their thing live in Brighton:

A couple of new jems from Switch. Both of these are solid. People have been talking about this Klaxons remix for a while. Thank you to Risky Bizniz for sharing. Cool to see that it made the light of day. Dont have a whole lot of info on the other track but it could be a teaser from the upcoming full length of original work that is due this year.
EDIT: Second track is a remix as well. See comments.

Another 80’s-synthomatic-MiamiVice-horror movie-electro stomper from Kavinsky. Its got a little Justice flavor in it to boot. You either love this stuff or you hate it. I have an affection to the synth pop stuff in the 80’s so this works for me. Either way you gotta give it up for a guy who goes under the guise of a zombie comic book character. This along with a couple of other tracks can be found on the “1986″ EP.
The Futureheads are a group of lads (Barry Hyde, Ross Millard, Jaff, and Dave Hyde) from the UK that have had a good level of success abroad. Slowly but surely building a buzz here in the states. From what I hear they have a good live show. Another addition to the dance-rock movement as of late. In continuing my public display of affection for the remix work of Switch, I present you with a remix he did for them.

A lot of hipsters just missed out on owning a piece of electronic music history… Kraftwerk’s Vocoder used on “Autobahn.” If i had an extra $12k laying around… well, nevermind. But still, if whoever just bought this thing wants to invite me over to fiddle around with it, drop me a line. Please.

There are lots of folks out there who claim to be musical innovators. A bunch that have even created their own genre of music. Sure, the New Orleans based duo Quintron and Miss Pussycat play their own unique brand of beats they’ve dubbed “Swamp Tech”. But they’ve taken it two steps further. First there is Miss Pussycat’s puppet show. Not far enough? No problem. Mr. Quintron is also the inventor of his own instrument called a drum buddy. It’s one thing to be weird, but it’s another thing entirely to be so good at it. Their stuff is top notch. Best of all, they are currently on tour. Don’t miss the mayhem.
If you are like me, you’ve probably always asked yourself, why doesn’t someone make an album of love songs with samples off jazz 78s from the 1920s and 30s that sounds like it would fit perfectly in the soundtrack to some noir film? Luckily we don’t have to ask ourselves any more thanks to Stephen Coates and the (Real) Tuesday Weld. It was tough picking one MP3 to share, but this one was pretty much an instant classic, at least in my mind. They’ve got a couple other samples and even a couple of videos on their website.
Most people know David Byrne as the singer from the Talking Heads, but I also love a lot of his solo stuff. He’s at his best when he’s mixing his interest in world music with some catchy, goofy pop, and his solo effort, “Uh Oh,” is full of gems. While there are a couple of “hits” like “Girls On My Mind” and “The Cowboy Mambo,” it’s songs like the transgender anthem “Now I’m Your Mom” and “Something Ain’t Right” that keep this album in my rotation all of these years later.
