Earlier this year we promoted a number of tracks from Hervé’s Machines Don’t Care super group. The first Machines LP was released in the UK earlier this year and has already had to be re-pressed three times. It’s about to get a full release in the US via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label. ‘Beat Bang’ was chosen as the first single from the record and comes with remixes by Action Man (another Hervé alter-ego) and Mujava, the newest addition to the team. We hear that Hervé is already sorting out a fresh and exciting list of collaborators alongside some familiar names for the second Machines album. Stay tuned for more on that soon.

A little late getting this one up but none the less a big thank you to the good folks at Your Army Online for continuing to send us big tunes from the great artists that they work with. This one is a special treat from Trevor Loveys. City Reverb gets the treatment this time around. The track is the second single from the album ‘Lost City Folk’, which is released on September 15th. Mr. Loveys has been keeping himself particularly busy as of late. He co-produced multiple songs on the new Machines Don’t Care album and co-founded a new label with Affie Yusuf called Tragic Magic. The first release is called ‘Drop It’ by Trevor Loveys with a follow called ‘No Time For Fake Ones’ by Affie Yusuf + Loveys. Both will be on vinyl + digital.

Super group Machines Don’t Care (Herve, Drop the Lime, Sinden, Detboi, Fake Blood, Toddla T, Trevor Loveys, Affie Yusef) have set a date for their first full length. Look out for 2×12″ album samplers coming soon followed by the whole album on CD. Proper release date is set for July 9. The single “Take It To The Club” is going to be released under Herve’s “Action Man” guise along with Jesse Rose on Made To Play with the B-side “Wind It Up.”

Big things coming from the Trouble & Bass camp this year. Drop The Lime continues to be the evangelist for the label and the New York City bass music sound. Not to mention working with electronic music’s elite producers on the upcoming Machines Dont Care project . Another DJ/Producer that we have been really excited about is Boy 8-Bit. At the end of March he released a track called “Fog Bank” on Trouble & Bass with remixes from Jack Beats and Acid Jacks. Keep an eye out for this guy. He has a laundry list of new productions and remixes on the way!
