DJ Atrak has made a pretty seamless transition into the dance music from his hip hop/turntablism upbringing. The new indie label he started with Nick Catchdubs (Fool’s Gold) is on the rise with acts like Treasure Fingers and LA Riots in high demand on the remix and DJ circuit. Doesn’t hurt being pals with Kanye West. Atrak linked up with house-meister Laidback Luke and together they spawned “Shake It Down.” Produced in just four hours?! We hear Luke knocks out new productions and remixes in record time. The tune has gotten some significant play in recent months and now gets its official release on Fool’s Gold with a remix from none other than the legendary DJ Sneak.

Beni Single was one half the electro duet Riot in Belgium. He has scored himself a solo deal with and is currently touring with a slew of their artists on the Kitsuné Maison Compilation 6 Launch Tour. He’s blogging all his adventures for Pedestrian. “My Love Sees You” is soon to receive an official release with remixes from In Flagranti and Etienne De Crécy. The French really understand the balance between audio and visual. Here is a clip from a live set by Etienne de Crecy from his set at the Transmusicales Fesitval in France, last year. Pretty impressive. Thank you to Kanye for the heads up on this one.
