Jesse Rose - Touch My Horn

‘Forget My Name’ is the new EP from Berlin-based Jesse Rose. The B-side on this Dubsided release ‘Touch My Horn’ isn’t necessarily the most sophisticated tune but it grows on you after a couple of listens. Playfully balancing his signature bounce with glitchy horn samples throughout. Look for a Crookers remix to hit the streets soon.

As we have highlighted many times previous, Herve is a music production machine. You would be hard pressed to find a time in the past couple of years where he didnt have multiple solo and collaborative projects selling in the shops. The “fidget” naming convention does not apply. That was a term that Jesse Rose made up long ago when he, Switch, and Trevor Loveys first started putting out records in the early days of Dubsided. Herve’s music cant be pinned down to a single genre. This time around he has linked up with none other than Kissy Sell Out. Kissy isnt doing to bad for himself either. More on that soon.

PS. Herve, what is it going to take to get you on a plane to come to the US??

Switch’s Dubsided label has fallen off the radar a bit until now. Buzz worthy producer Duke Dumont comes to the table with “The Dominion Dubs EP.” You have most likely seen the track “Hoy” bouncing around the interweb in recent weeks. One of the standout tunes from this five track EP is “Feltham” that is a James Brown funk inspired chunky house number that will be sure to make its way into sets from top DJs this year.

XLR8R TV: Switch

XLR8R TV was able to get Dave Taylor to sit down for a couple of beers and chat for a bit. Very much looking forward to the full length Solid Groove project to be released on Dubsided (hopefully this year). He has set up shop in LA so we are hoping he will do some DJ dates this year in our neck of the woods.
