Deadmau5 is getting a lot of promotion since his Grammy nomination. His single “I Remember” is getting a ton of airplay and he continues to churn out remixes. His latest rub is of fellow chart topper Calvin Harris’s “I’m Not Alone.” Prime time for SXSW and Miami Winter Music Conference action.
Calvin Harris - I’m Not Alone (Deadmau5 Remix)
Here he is giving Denver, CO a run for their money at the infamous Red Rocks venue:
After a bit of a drought, there have been a slew of fantastic new tunes hitting our inbox in the past few weeks! Calvin Harris has a new full length coming our way soon. The first single ‘I’m Not Alone’ is getting massive support on Radio 1. Deservedly so. This is a bit of a departure from his previous production work but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. We are predicting this one will be one of the biggest singles of 2009. Forthcoming release will include remixes by Deadmau5 and Hervé. There are a number of blogs that have posted a version of this tune but its not the final mix. Check it out though and take a look at the video below to get a feel for how big this is going to be.
Burns is quickly becoming someone to look out for in 2009. Breastfed Records (Mylo and Linus Loves label) has recently added this young producer to their roster. His bootleg “Make Love” has been played multiple times on Annie Mac’sMashup show and making its way into the playlists of many big name DJs. If you happen to be lucky enough to be in Sydney, Australia on new year’s eve we recommend you take advantage of the chance to see him play alongside Calvin Harris, Miami Horror, and Boys Noize at the massive Harbour Party. In the meantime, give the tune a listen and let us know what you think.
Burns - Make Love
Heard this for the first time during Winter Music Conference when Annie Mac had Calvin Harris on her show. Dizzee Rascal taking it a bit more dance-pop route than his signature DIY grime material. On the other side of the spectrum from his Mercury Prize winning first album. Calvin Harris acts as the “Dr. Dre” to Dizzee’s “Snoop Dogg”. A party tune that will definitely go down well in the club this summer. “Dance Wiv Me”will be released on CD, 12″ and download on June 7th through Dizzee’s own Dirtee Stank label.
New UK duo the Tings Tings will bring its electro-indie-pop sounds to the states with multiple performances at this year’s SXSW followed with a coast-to-coast mini-tour of select US art house and alternative music spaces.

3/9/08 Seattle, WA Vera Project
3/11/08 Echo Park, CA Reo Center Studio

With the beautiful Katie White juggling vocals, guitar and bass and Jules De Martino on drums, the Ting Tings are conquering America. BBC.com included them in their Sounds of 2008: Top 10 to Watch and acclaims their “mix of pop sensibility and indie credibility” has led to their instant success.
“Great DJ” is a catchy tune which is making its way onto many charts these days. The single hit the streets on March 3rd on CD/limited edition 7″ and digital download.
Here is a video of the duo performing the track on British television:
Calvin Harris has taken the track and made it even more dance floor friendly.
