We are pretty excited about the new Filthy Dukes single ‘This Rhythm.’ Samuel Dust from Late Of The Pier on guest vocals and remixes from the likes of Fred Falke, Emperor Machine, Toddla T and Kill Em All (on MySpace player for previewing). The video directed by Sarah Chatfield is both beautiful and haunting. Official release is March 9th with the full length due March 16th.
‘Forget My Name’ is the new EP from Berlin-based Jesse Rose. The B-side on this Dubsided release ‘Touch My Horn’ isn’t necessarily the most sophisticated tune but it grows on you after a couple of listens. Playfully balancing his signature bounce with glitchy horn samples throughout. Look for a Crookers remix to hit the streets soon.

The Basement Jaxx have rescheduled the dates they had planned in February for April/May. No word on what the unforseen circumstances were exactly but all previously purchased tickets will be honored and they have added a few extra dates. Hoping for a US leg of the tour this summer. Come to San Diego! Jaxx your body.
The Beatport Music Awards aims to recognize electronic music talent. With nominees based solely on 2008 unit sales from Beatport.com, the awards are broken down by music genre. There are 35 categories altogether: Best Artists (separated into 17 genres), Best Track (17 genres, with both originals and remixes), and a final open question asking the public to name the ‘most influential, relevant and forward-thinking person in electronic music in 2008’.
