London Elektricity - How to play live drum and bass:
A defining moment in the “french touch” era. Le Knight Club (Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo & Eric Chedeville) did a masterful job with this Phoenix remix back in 2000. Easily one of our top remixes of all time. Genius.
Looks like Jesse Rose got his hands on a Kenneth Bager tune. A minimal number with some interesting vocal samples sprinkled throughout. Denmark meets Berlin. Good stuff!
Earlier this year we promoted a number of tracks from Hervé’s Machines Don’t Care super group. The first Machines LP was released in the UK earlier this year and has already had to be re-pressed three times. It’s about to get a full release in the US via Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label. ‘Beat Bang’ was chosen as the first single from the record and comes with remixes by Action Man (another Hervé alter-ego) and Mujava, the newest addition to the team. We hear that Hervé is already sorting out a fresh and exciting list of collaborators alongside some familiar names for the second Machines album. Stay tuned for more on that soon.
A 320kpbs full length version of Trevor Loveys’ remix is available from the Machines website by signing up to the mailing list.
