Good lineup thus far for the Vegoose Music Festival in October. And it looks like our favorite French robots are going to make an appearance. Another chance for us on the west coast to check them out!

It was a glorious evening of decadent electronic music. A southern California crowd all pumping their arms to Ed Banger tunes and the Mr. Oizo remix of Rage Against the Machine’s “Killing in the Name Of” during the Sebastian and Kavinsky sets, die hard Ratatat fans chanting song requests, and then Thomas Bangalter and Guy Man hit the stage. The energy was incredible. The historic event some of us got to witness at Coachella some time ago has only gotten better. If you are reading this from any region of the world that is lucky enough to host this show in the next couple months do yourself a favor and get a ticket. It may not come around again. Thank me later. The encore alone is worth the money!

I have got to say… This is the best mix I have heard in some time. Eclectic track selection and flawless blends (most likely because it was done in Ableton Live). Not to mention its a good 2 hours in length and 50 tunes deep! Throw this bad boy in your ipod immediately. I highly recommend the new Digitalism full length “Idealism” that was released in May. This German duo is doing big things. Look forward to getting to see their live show sometime soon. Enjoy!

Justice has been out of the remix game for a little over a year now as they focused on their album and touring. Word recently got out that none other than Justin Timberlake’s latest single “Love Stoned” was going to get the french touch. This rework is definitely in the vein of D.A.N.C.E. with its lower tempo 4 to the floor stomp, strings, and Michael Jacksonisms.. So here it is for your listening pleasure. A classic remix of an already classic track. Circa 1995. Armand Van Helden’s best work in my opinion.

Daft Punk - Da Funk (Armand Van Helden’s Ten Minutes of Funk Remix)

This would have been a fun night of electro goodness. The whole Ed Banger crew and Boyz Noise. Ears would have been ringing for days after this show.

The Justice DJ sets continue to get better as time goes on. Some fun blends and good track selection in this one.
