Its the Remix!!! Blogger Edition
Thursday, March 8th, 2007
Showing some love for the fellow bloggers on this one. Up first….fellow So Cal boys Acid Girls. These fellas are now globetrotting DJs opening for the likes of Switch and the Ed Banger crew in recent months. They also have some regular gigs going in Costa Mesa and LA. They took Daft Punk’s “Too Long” and gave it a much needed kick in the ass. Fidgety, jackin, and ready for the club. Next up…the latest Faex edit from Alex Egan (Skull Juice). This one is a rub of the Sebastian track “Head/Off”. Its dark, dirty, twisted and exaggerates the signature Sebastian sound. Both Acid Girls and Skull Juice played a big role in me starting this site. Glad to be part of a community of such creative people. Enjoy the tracks!
Nouveau Mr. Oizo!!

Video of Sebastian DJing at a recent Ed Banger party. He is transitioning from The Prodigy “Smack My Bitch Up” and…. BAM!!! Right into this bonkers sax driven monster of a tune. As Busy P mentions in the video, its a new track by Mr. Oizo. Dont have any details on it as of yet but its going to be hot. If anyone has some intel on the name and release date hit me up. In the meantime, here is a taste.

Deep House

Short documentary on the deep house movement. Has interviews with some of the major players such as Marques Wyatt and Miguel Migs. I really like the latin influenced stuff a lot. Nothing but respect for the DJs/producers who have been keeping this genre alive for the past decade.

Another 80’s-synthomatic-MiamiVice-horror movie-electro stomper from Kavinsky. Its got a little Justice flavor in it to boot. You either love this stuff or you hate it. I have an affection to the synth pop stuff in the 80’s so this works for me. Either way you gotta give it up for a guy who goes under the guise of a zombie comic book character. This along with a couple of other tracks can be found on the “1986″ EP.
