Nobody can really touch this guy in regards to drum and bass production skillz right now.   His debut longplayer “True Colours” was released on Hospital Records to massive critical acclaim.  This remix of the White Stripes single ”Blue Orchid” is getting a lot of well deserved attention in the UK and abroad. Cheers!

Friend, producer, and supposed love interest of Madonna, Stuart Price has remixed the first single from The Killers new LP.  Under his Jacques Lu Cont alias, Mr. Price effectively gives the track a french touch of four to the floor thump while still retaining the guitar rock feel of the original track. The Thin White Duke remix of Mr. Brightside was, and still is, one of my favorite remixes of recent years.  DJ, producer, remixer, and nice on the bass/keys….this guy’s got skillz.

Mix by DJ Feadz of Ed Banger Records.  He produced Uffie’s stuff and has been touring pretty extensively with her. They made recent stops in San Diego and LA.  The mix incorporates all of the big hits from the label this year. Justice, Sebastian, Uffie, Busy P, and the rest of the Ed Banger crew are featured.

Being in So Cal makes it difficult to go to many events like this. I havent had the opportunity to see Spank Rock live yet.  Their debut album YoYoYoYoYo has been out for a couple of months now.  Plenty of good reviews and a league of DJ love have given them and B More Club music some good exposure this year.  After some early recordings made their way into Diplo’s hands, Spank Rock was quickly signed to his label at the time, Big Dada.  At one of their recent shows in NYC, big dogs like Jay Z showed up to see what they were all about.  So they are definitely making some noise.  Been a while since I have posted another Dave Taylor remix so here you go. Killing two birds with one stone on this sucka.  Cheers!
