Today Diplo shared a remix of “Climax” that caught my attention. Had no idea what genre is was, just that a young producer named Raf Riley was behind it. The track’s codeine induced ‘chopped and skrewed’ intro sucked me in and failed to prepare me for what was to come about a minute or so later. The ‘climax’ of this remix is an up-tempo dubstep breakdown that although follows suit in structure, is unique in it’s individual bits and pieces. Riley minimizes the heavy wobble that one would expect, and replaces it with a less aggressive (organic) elements. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.
