The xx fans from around the globe can now hear their eagerly awaited second album “Coexist,” in full, ahead of it’s September 10/11 release. In coordination with labels XL Recordings/Young Turks, they’ve launched an interactive map that shows how and where the stream is being shared around the world. Each curve begins with a tweet, email or Facebook post and ends with the location of a new listener. Give the album a listen below and get to sharing!
A couple of additional noteworthy bits…
The trio are playing a gig with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra on Wednesday September 19th at Bridlington Spa. Something they’ve never attempted before so definitely not to be missed. You can apply for tickets here.
Additionally, NME reports that The xx’s Oliver Sim has written a song that he’d like to pass along to Beyonce. Guess it was something that wasn’t the right vibe for the band and he though she’d be perfect for it. The band had the chance to share a meal with Beyonce and husband Jay-Z back in June around the time of BBC Radio 1′s Hackney Weekend. Will definitely have to keep tabs on this one.
