“Great friends, good music, California, and mezcal.” Properly describes the intoxicating summer vibes radiating from “Pacific Standard Time,” the debut album from Poolside. Musician/DJ Filip Nikolic (formerly of bands Junior Senior, Guns n’ Bombs and Ima Robot) and Jeffery Paradise, founder of San Fransisco’s infamous “Blow Up” parties, have been chopping away at this record for a few years now amongst other priorities. This week the world gets a taste of southern California livin’ as the fully realized record is now available for purchase.
Los Angeles’ KCRW is offering an exclusive stream of the record for the next week and we have it here for you to check out. Give it a listen and then head over to Poolside.com to pick up a digital or vinyl copy of the record. There you’ll also find some great branded t-shirts and bags to keep your summer swag strong.
Although I’ve never met Jeffery Paradise personally, we’ve bounced emails back and forth regarding music, party promotion, growing up in San Diego, etc. and he’s been nothing but cool. Always great to promote the work of good people.
