Man, am I glad I DVR Jimmy Fallon’s show. Had the show playing in the background while working last night and promptly dropped everything I was doing as Robert Glasper and crew hit the first few notes of their cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” This is an epic performance by incredible musicians combining both electronic and experimental jazz elements flawlessly. The cover is from their latest release entitled “Black Radio” available now via the legendary Blue Note Records imprint. Watch the goose-bump inducing performance below.
