South London songstress Jessie Ware has the music industry paying attention. Her soulful debut album “Devotion” is due out on August 20th following a stream of highly praised singles. Interestingly enough, Ware never set to have the spotlight shine on her directly. Her dream was to be a back up singer. Momentum began building in the past year via appearances on records with SBTRKT and Disclosure. The overwhelming positive response to her persona and voice naturally lead to an opportunity to put together a solo effort. She recruited producer pal Julio Bashmore and others which ensured the tracks would be rooted in dance music but emphasize her smooth, soulful, and seductive sound. “Devotion” confirms that Jessie Ware is a star in her own right. Brilliant vocal ability, absolutely stunning, stylish, and much respected.
