Music: Duke Dumont & Friendly Fires Provide Standout Remixes For AlunaGeorge’s “Your Drums, Your Love”

With a series of well received modern British R&B singles, remixes, and an eagerly awaited LP due in early 2013, London duo AlunaGeorge (singer Aluna Francis & producer George Reid) are riding a nice wave. Their latest entitled “Your Drums, Your Love” premiered mid-August care of tastemaker Annie Mac. The single along with a couple of stellar remixes from Duke Dumont and Friendly Fires is out October 15th via Island Records.

Give the video for the original and stream the remix package below. If you like, you can pre-order the package now via iTunes.

Dumont’s reinterpretation is very much in line with the magical blend of UK bass and deep house found on his latest “For Club Play Only” EP.

Friendly Fires take a much more left field approach with their remix. The result is a triumphant layering of organic percussion, Aluna’s sweet and soulful vocals, and dreamy synth work. Good stuff.

As an added bonus, check out the video AlunaGeorge unveiled today for the exclusive track they did for the forthcoming “Annie Mac Presents 2012” compilation out October 8th called “Watching Over You.”
