Though I’m an Adidas miCoach user, I was amazed at how calmly the original Nike+ Fuelband measures calories and the mysterious fuel points (which is a slightly different algorithm and distinct from calories so don’t get it twisted). With a few more uses I just may be a new convert. Along with the current black band, there will soon be an opportunity to pick up the limited edition Nike+ Fuelband ICE. It still has all the same bells and whistles but now you can see some of the guts under a frosty see-through polymer band.
Nike isn’t saying exactly how many ICE units will be made so be sure to grab one when they go on sale at NikeTown locations in New York, San Francisco and London on July 27th. They’ll also be available at London’s Boxpark, the House of Innovation at Selfridges, and New York’s 21 Mercer Street. A wider release will follow on August 12th via Nikestore.com.
