There is nothing worse than the tyranny of the “either-or” world. Either ‘this’ or ‘that’, but never both…
GQ‘s Jim Moore wanted to platform versatility while shooting their first ever Style Issue and talks with Drake to underline a point: “The public knows you as someone who wears both casual clothes and suits…” says Moore. “You haven’t just defined yourself as the guy who wears the casual clothes or just a suit…”
There are few who have that bonafide star-quality to transcend and platform their talent across a variety of genres, have mass appeal AND come across as relatable, genuine people who happen to have an extraordinary sense of style; killing it in everything they wear.
No where was this more fitting (just go with the pun) than GQ’s cover shoot with Drake for it’s April 2012 cover. Drake spits a little something to help frame the whole experience while you think of clever ways to bring versatility to your own mass appeal. Video by Gordon Von Steiner.
Peep it.
