Todd Edwards

An Evening With Todd Edwards (Recap)

Last Saturday night was something special. House music legend and Daft Punk collaborator Todd Edwards is not only an incredible producer and DJ, but all around good people. Win-win.

To spend a couple hours drinking beers in the San Diego sun with one of my musical idols, talking about influences, the Daft Punk phenomenon, and life in general would have normally been enough of a blessing. But the set that Todd curated for us later on that night was next level. Tune after tune. Classic original productions, remixes, and a number of gems from his archives. It was an education in house music. An epic journey indeed. Mr. Edwards, we thank you and hope that you will come back to visit us soon.

A BIG thank you to AVicious VJs who provided the visuals for the night. These guys can transform any room. Brilliant stuff. Also, a special thank you to our resident DJs, COLOUR VISION and Tres Dubios for another night of stellar sets. And last but not least, the good folks at Onyx Room who continue to allow us to push their sound system to it’s limits every month.

So…in the mayhem of it all, I ended up losing a memory card full of photos from the night (#FAIL) but managed to salvage a couple of videos to give those who weren’t there a taste of what went down musically. Enjoy.
