Music lost one of it’s great voices yesterday. Whitney Houston was indeed a queen of pop music. For whatever reason, upon hearing the news I thought back to a cheeky bootleg that served as an intro to a classic 1999 Basement Jaxx Radio 1 Essential Mix. The Jaxx boys laid the vocal from Whitney Houston’s “It’s Not Right But It’s Ok” over the top of Mr Oizo’s “Flat Beat.” Dance floor magic.
