Where to start? Lots of news over the past few days. The Weeknd continues to garner critical acclaim. Abel Tesfaye mentioned a couple of titles on Twitter the other day which we now find out are for two more mixtapes due this year. “Thursdays” will be the first (with producers Doc McKinney and Illangelo) due in the next couple of months and “Echoes of Silence” to follow later in the year.
Now on to “Material Girl” which is reported to be previously unreleased by Tesfaye. New or old, good music is good music. Big kick drum stomp, some strings, and a whole lot of swag. Magic.
