Not unlike Disclosure, Jamie Smith, better known as Jamie xx, is taking club music in a really exciting direction. Some call it post-dubstep, I call it futuristic soul music. All labels aside, the resume that he’s compiled in such a short time is impressive. He’s had some high profile collaborations with a wide range of noteworthy artists including Adele, Radiohead, Florence + the Machine, and Gil Scott-Heron.
In the latest installment of The Creators Project video series, Smith gives us a glimpse into his craft, inspirations, and what to expect from the forthcoming The xx record due next year.
