A year ago today marks the untimely passing of a true master of ceremonies, Keith “Guru” Elam. He and his partner in crime, DJ/producer DJ Premier made up the legendary group Gang Starr. Premier has carried on as one of hip-hop’s most consistent producers and continues to evangelize the culture around the world. Like many of us, Ed Banger Records head honcho Pedro “Busy P” Winter was truly inspired by hip-hop growing up. So much so that he reached out to DJ Premier to contribute a remix for SebastiAn‘s “Embody” EP.
There was of course a party in Paris to celebrate the release and Premier made a special guest appearance to drop his remix. New York meets Paris.
