deadmau5 Lights Up London With 4D Projection Show

Last night deadmau5 lit up the London riverside with a larger than life light show on Millbank Tower in coordination with the folks at Nokia. Quite the expensive commercial. Each of the building’s 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed on the other side of the river, beamed 3D images onto the structure. Although projection work was impressive, the crowd that came out to watch it live must have felt at least a little short-changed when it was finished. Such a short set (less than twenty minutes from start to finish). Even Mr. Zimmerman himself felt a bit guilty after it was all said and done. But it was free to those who braved the cold London night air and the reports from those who attended say that the sound was spot on amongst the urban landscape. Considering how crucial the visual element is to the deadmau5 brand, I wouldn’t be surprised if he coordinated something big like this again on his own without the commercial sponsor.
