Due to a tragic accident, Chicago house music legend Paul Johnson is in the hospital with a broken hip and spine. He is scheduled to have surgery today (12/21/10) to have his right leg amputated. Paul was scheduled to headline this Wednesday at SmartBar in Chicago, instead of canceling, the people over at 5 Magazine decided to turn the event into a benefit to raise money for Johnson. For those of us not in Chicago and unable to make the event you can make donations online. We wish Paul a speedy recovery.
