A couple of years ago Pete Tong along with partners Ben Turner, Danny Whittle, Mark Netto and Simeon Friend pulled together a hand full of partners and sponsors to launch the International Music Summit. An annual meeting of the minds from the world of dance music on the magical island of Ibiza. This years conference featured a number of big name guests including keynote interviews with Mark Ronson, David Guetta and Erick Morillo. There were a bunch of great panel discussions as well. The highlight for us was a fireside chat with fellow southern Californian Jason Bentley. Bentley had done music direction work in the past for TRON Legacy director Joseph Kosinski and ultimately ended up playing a key role in securing Daft Punk to do the score for the film. Interesting to hear how it all came together. Looking forward to hearing the result when the soundtrack is released on November 23rd.
